In 2018, French President Emmanuel Macron lent his support to the initiative at the VivaTech Conference in Paris, where IBM announced an initial $30 million investment in the Call for Code Global Initiative. One year later, IBM expanded its commitment to $55 million, further fueling the effort to develop and deploy transformative solutions.
Now in its eighth year, Call for Code stands as the most extensive developer engagement in history, with millions of technological contributions and over 40,000 applications created to date.
